This course is designed to review current concepts in Endodontics. The course includes diagnosis, pulpal anatomy and morphology, procedural errors, access, instrumentation, and obturation. The course takes the participant through all aspects of Endodontic treatment with introduction to the latest materials and techniques used in clinical Endodontic treatment.

A comprehensive review of all aspects of Endodontic treatment will be presented. The course will review diagnostic techniques and classifications. As the course proceeds we will discuss all of the clinical steps of root canal treatment from access to obturation using the latest in techniques, rotary instruments, and materials. The course includes video demonstrations of clinical treatment and is accompanied by a hands-on course to allow the participant to experience the latest innovations and advancements in the field of Endodontics.

  • To discuss the latest armamentarium used in Endodontic treatment.
  • To discuss the latest techniques used in Endodontic treatment.
  • To present video and picture demonstrations of the armamentarium and techniques used during clinical treatment.
  • To provide a hands-on clinical experience using extracted teeth to allow the participant to use these techniques and instruments in practice.

Each hands-on group is limited to 14 places. Participants should bring -
 
  • Their own pre-accessed, fully-developed extracted teeth (soaked in full strength bleach for 24 hours)
  • Blouse, gloves
  • Magnification glasses if possible
 
`BIOGRAPHY
 
Dr. Brett Gilbert received his D.D.S. and Certificate of Endodontics from the University of Maryland. Dr. Gilbert has a private endodontic practice in Chicago, Illinois. He is currently on faculty in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and on staff at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago.
