| Why Endodontic Therapy vs. Implant Treatment? |
Contemporary dentists are often faced with a diffi cult choice of (1) saving
Introduction: a tooth with endodontic therapy followed by restoration or (2)
extracting the tooth and replacing it with an implant-supported restoration.
There have been debates concerning this topic, and these debates could be
the result of a misunderstanding of the factors that should be considered when
deciding on the best approach to treatment of a structurally compromised
tooth.
In this panel discussion, the panel will try to explore relevant factors from
the point of view of an endodontist, a prosthodontist and a surgeon. The
discussion will follow an evidence-based approach and, at the same time,
will be a clinically applicable. |
